Barbara served as CEO, Co-Founder & Principal of her Human Resources company HR XCEL for ten years. During her tenure, Barbara accumulated accolades including being a part of the "40 Executives Under 40" and "Top 25 Women in Business" from the Charlotte Business Journal. Barbara was also named in the "Top 10 HRO Superstars" in the country for 3 consecutive years recognized as one of the pioneers of HR Outsourcing.
A few years after the sale of HR XCEL to Fortune 250 firm ADP, Barbara embarked on her next endeavor, Next Up Coaching & Consulting, LLC. (formerly Sheridan Consulting). Here, she began her journey into career development, assisting individuals ranging from recent college graduates entering the job market up to executive C-Suite coaching. She also enjoys team coaching for groups such as managers, project management teams, direct reports, etc.
